For over a decade, Oscar Salinas has served as a dedicated prosecutor here in Bexar County, handling everything from misdemeanors to serious felony cases. His years in the courtroom have given him a clear view of both the strengths and the challenges within our justice system.

Oscar is running for District Attorney because he is the most qualified candidate who brings the right temperament, experience, balance, and integrity to the office. Oscar understands the challenges line prosecutors have better than the current candidates. He also understands that justice isn’t just about convictions, it’s about people. As times change and technology transforms the way we pursue justice, line prosecutors need a leader who’s walked in their shoes and someone with real courtroom experience who understands their challenges and knows how to support them.

Born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, Oscar built his career on the belief that accountability and fairness can coexist. He knows that safer communities start with trust between law enforcement, prosecutors, and the people they serve.

When he’s not in the courtroom, Oscar is on the field coaching his kids in soccer and baseball, and staying active in the same community he’s proud to protect.

Now, he’s ready to bring that same commitment, teamwork, and leadership to the District Attorney’s Office to ensure that every decision reflects both justice and compassion.
